Testimonials of Parents and Teachers

I am so happy. Parents and teachers as well as kids are having a great experience with my album and book. Often when Uncle Dave and Mr. Aaron go to community events, a parent will approach them and say “Pacha’s is all my kids want to listen to.” One parent told a story of two siblings that don’t agree on anything, agreeing on Pacha’s music. Parents tell them the kids are excited to get in the car so they can listen to the album, and its making for some great conversations in the car. One parent told the story of his daughter, who previously had not expressed interest in dancing, saying “Dad, I am going to be in my room dancing. Please don’t come in” and closing the door. They’ve also heard stories of parents and kids having deep bonding experiences while listening together. Frankly, I am a little surprised but parents are enjoying Pacha’s music even if their kids play it all the time; they say “at least it doesn’t drive me crazy!”

Below are testimonials on the Volume 1 album, the double album and the book. I would be so happy if you would send me your testimonial below. We have also received a lot awards and great reviews.

Volume One Testimonials

  • I love Pacha’s Pajamas because of the empowering message it gives children about their future and the environment. I often sense that the children I speak to shut down a little when they hear of environmental calamities. But this engaging story of a sweet but strong heroine coming together in song with the animal kingdom is of great value in helping kids feel able to affect their world. My own children immediately gravitated towards the cover and had questions about Pacha. The story speaks to their need for an environmental hero, and they quickly saw themselves in her. I am also very excited to have the Pacha’s Pajamas CD and book as a tool in reaching out to my patients about the importance of nature in their lives. As a pediatrician, I understand the accumulating scientific evidence that kids must get outdoors and into nature for their health. How to get them there is always the dilemma. Artists and entertainers are invaluable partners in the healer’s quest to engage kids in the natural world. Thank you Pacha’s Pajamas! ~ Nooshin Razani, Pediatrician at Children’s Hospital in Oakland
  • My son and I listened to the cd this morning on our way to school and he didn’t want to get out of the car because he wanted to hear what was going to happen at the festival! Amazingly done, sound quality is awesome and the message totally moves his heart and mine. ~ Esperanza Tervalon-Daumont is mother and nonprofit executive in Oakland, California
  • “An inspiring story, Pacha’s Pajamas reminds us that all living creatures must unify for the health of our common home, the Earth. Sure to become a modern day children’s classic, Pacha’s Pajamas should definitely be read by everyone!” ~ Avalon Theisen, Founder of Conserve It Forward, Inc.
  • We all LOVE your CD. Callie asks for it the moment she gets into the car, and we like listening to it too. She particularly likes tracks 1, 6 and 8. We can’t wait for volume 2. Whatever’s gonna happen when the hurricane gets there? ~ Camille Dungy is a mother in Oakland, California
  • I wish this was around when my son was younger! It’s both fun and powerful (I can’t get the theme song out of my head). Read more. ~ Lynn Hasselberger is a mother and marketing consultant in Chicago, Illinois
  • I gave Pacha CD and book to dear Alana (great friends daughter-six years olf) for xmas. She is sooo psyched. And apparently wanted to audition for it, and knows some of the young performers. Big happy smile for that present! ~ Tara Marchant, Oakland, CA
  • Pachas Pajamas has a wonderful message and is fun for kids. We have both the book and CD. The book is a fun, educational read for children who are reading or those who are still being read to. The music is for children and I enjoy listening to it as well. It is upbeat and has a wonderful message. Thank you for creating a wonderful soundtrack and book! ~ Amazon reviewer Natasha Brockhaus – See all my reviews
  • Fun and Educational! I went to a friend’s place and saw this. We listened to it and the best thing about it is that it is not just, as in the case of many mainstream children musicals, brainless music that appeals to my ears. It actually incorporates meaningful message into its content: the importance of nature and how we should respect it. I’ve hardly seen any existing products on the market like this. Definitely worth checking out, especially if you have child(ren)! ~ Amazon reviewer Lee C – See all my reviews
  • The kids are loving the CD! ~ Cliff Sorrell is an architect in Richmond, California
  • The creators of this project spent 10 years interacting with a live audience of kids to see what inspired and captured the attention of our youth, and in my opinion they got it right. Pacha’s Pajamas gave me a way to use the Hip Hop/Pop culture to engage with kids about something very relevant to their future — the importance of preserving and having a relationship to the natural world. Now it seems obvious… to use what kids love in order to teach them what they need to know, but this time I got to witness the affect first hand. Read more. ~ Katrina Hammer is a Teacher at the GATE Academy in Marin County, California.
  • My nieces absolutely LOVE it and so do we! “I Found My Music” and “Horses Don’t See Colors” were the favorites, both have been memorized by the girls and were sang throughout the cookie making. Thank you SO much! Brilliant work on this! ~ Karen Jackson, Social Marketer and Designer
  • The CD makes a great first impression dashing out 3 amazing songs in a row. The musicianship of everyone involved is above the bar. I would classify this music as classic Children’s Pop, with brief touches of Reggae and Caribbean Brazilian-Pop type overtones. There’s even a Rap and a Country piece. Along the way you will notice lush instrumentation with things like impressive horn sections, impressive solo guitar, well placed percussion accents, impressive pedal steel, sonic touches, well placed Keyboard, and lush harmonies layered everywhere built upon a thick as a brick rhythm section.  What I like the most about this catalogue is how well all the pieces seem to groove together, testament to hundreds of hours of writing and behind the scenes production work no doubt. Now turning our attention over to all the performers – as for their individual contribution – all amazing! … Pachas Pajamas delivers 15 solid tracks all providing musical enjoyment filled with strong messages and strong melodic variety and diversity. From grooving “Welcome to Pacha Jamma”, and Butterfly Life” to rocking “Nature Superhero” to intoxicating “Wake up Everybody” Pachas Pajamas has something for just about everyone. Indie Music Digest Review for the Volume 1 album: 9 out of 10 stars

  • My whole family, myself included, are obsessed with Pacha’s Pajamas.  We’ve basically listened to nothing else since.  My wife laughs because it brings tears to my eyes, she’s like “You haven’t cried for 4 years and this brings you to tears?!”  The only down side is my kids are constantly imitating mushroom’s voice, so I have two little Cheech’s now.  But most of all thanks for spearheading such a high-quality, creative, and on-message thing for families to listen to, with some great beats to keep the grownups heads bopping! ~ Sohrob Nabatian
