Pacha’s Pajamas is a story about a little girl who becomes a Superhero for Nature through her dreams. One night as she falls asleep, the animals and plants on her magical, new pajamas come alive. Disguised as a small gorilla, Pacha discovers an unlikely group of creatures feeling sad about the state of the world. Nature unites to tell its captivating story at a global festival, where Pacha plays her part to bring balance to the planet!

From Pacha’s Pajamas:
Pacha was a little girl with big dreams. Her dreams were bigger than the gigantic skyscraper that blocked the sunlight to her classroom. Her dreams were bigger than the biggest elephant at the zoo where her dad worked. She dreamed of dancing hip-hop in front of huge crowds. She imagined upside-down cities where kids made the rules. She dreamed of a school where math was music, with beats instead of numbers.

She used to like to go to the zoo or the local parks but lately she liked to stay inside. These days she was much better at climbing the walls in her parents’ tiny apartment than climbing trees. Nature was great and all, but most of the time she’d choose watching TV over going outside.

One afternoon, when Pacha and her father arrived home from school, she started wheezing and coughing. She was choking on her own breath! Pacha remembered to relax while she breathed deeply on her inhaler. After a couple of scary minutes, she announced, “My breath was running away, but I just caught it!”

Pacha’s parents were relieved. Her mom said, “Life isn’t always easy, but your dreams can carry you through anything.” Then she brought out a colorful pair of pajamas that looked like they were glowing. They were covered with dancing animals, singing plants and shining stars. “I made you something really special. These are magical pajamas!” her mother said lovingly.

“Oooh Mama! They’re as soft as a chinchilla’s belly! I love the way the bears are boogying!” exclaimed Pacha as she giggled and wiggled. She started to remember all of the things she used to love about nature. That evening as Pacha put on her new PJs, she had lots of questions for her father.

“Do plants and trees breathe? And, before people, did animals make the rules? Can I be a dancing girl-rilla in these pajamas?”

He laughed and replied, “If you jump in bed faster than a little cheetah, I’ll tell you a story. Maybe the answers will come to you in your sleep.” Pacha hopped into bed and snuggled into her pillow. Her father had barely started the tale when Pacha drifted off into a magical dream …

It began with a whale meeting a hummingbird … something that doesn’t happen in just any dream …
